If you are 65 years or older and need assistance to remain in your own home, the place to access Australian Government funded services is through the “My Aged Care” program. Visit the website at https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/
Through this website, the Government provides funded services called “packages”. Please talk with our practice team if you require assistance accessing and understanding the process
There are many services available, e.g. home maintenance (mowing, gardening), modifications (grab rails, ramps, tap sets etc.), minor home modifications (changing a light bulb, repairs etc.), domestic help and transport assistance
We can help if you are having difficulty with personal care or taking medications. There are other services like nursing, allied health and social support, if you require assistance and support attending a Specialist appointment or require a 24-hour response system. These are available after you have been assessed and approved for a ‘Home Care Package’ which has four levels – 1. Basic, 2. Low, 3. Intermediate and 4. High care needs.
There are also services provided to your Carer if required. These can assist your Carer to take a break, while you are supported and cared for in your own home by qualified and experienced staff

Ear Toileting Services
Usually only available in specialised ENT clinics, the doctors use specialised equipment for ear toileting services. This is completed using a microscope and micro-suction.
